Sönke Rothenberger (14 October 1994) is the son of international dressage riders Sven Rothenberger and Gonnelien Gordijn. He is trained by Anky van Grunsven. His sisters Sanneke and Semmieke both compete in dressage. He studied International Business at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. From 2007 to 2009 he won three team gold medals and one individual bronze, silver and gold medal at the European Pony Championships. In 2014 he won team gold and individual bronze at the European Young Rider Championships.

His horse Favourit (1999) is a Rheinland gelding by Fidermark x Worldchamp.
